[UPDATE] PS3's Mirror's Edge gets free DLC in January

EA DICE has confirmed it will be releasing nine new Time Trial races for Mirror’s Edge on PlayStation Network at the end of next month.
The pack will go on sale for approximately USD 9.99, although PlayStation 3 owners will be treated to an additional tenth race, free of charge.
According to EA’s press blurb, the Time Trials will offer "no guns, no cops, and no city: this is true aesthetics, agility and flow that will challenge any runner." We're kind of anxious to see exactly what the developers mean by this. Regardless, we're sure it'll involve a lot of brilliant Parkour running that'll keep us hooked on Faith’s adventure romp for some time.

It looks really cool, I was interested in the game despite fears of mostionsickness but havent picked it up et because I have so many other titles right now but this makes me want to run out and get the game. 10 bucks for the time trial seems fair and it's nice to get something exclusive for once even if it is paid content.

@1... time trial mode is already in the game, but you say you dont own it so fair enough. speed runs of the chapters are also included. I dont understand what people are saying here. from what i got from it, you can buy the 9 maps for 10 bucks... or not. then come january, the tenth will be made available for free... so not having to pay a penny.

Very interesting DLC, I hope we get one for free without having to buy the 9 tracks.
Love the uniqueness in the tracks.
